Description: Pont de Bir-Hakeim is a bridge in Paris that crosses the Seine river. It connects the 15th and 16th arrondissements of the city and offers a panoramic view of the Eiffel Tower. The bridge has two levels: the upper one for metro trains and pedestrians, and the lower one for motor vehicles and bicycles. The bridge was built between 1903 and 1905 and was originally named Pont de Passy. It was renamed in 1948 to commemorate the Battle of Bir Hakeim, a World War II battle in which Free French forces resisted the Axis forces in Libya.
