Description: Harlech Castle Gatehouse Tower is a medieval structure that was part of the defensive fortifications of Harlech Castle in Merionethshire, Wales. The tower was built in the 13th century by King Edward I of England as part of his campaign to conquer Wales. The tower has four stories and a conical roof, and it contains a portcullis, a drawbridge, and a guardroom. The tower was designed to protect the main entrance to the castle from attackers, and it also served as a residence for the constable of the castle. The tower is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Grade I listed building.
