Description: A hyacinth macaw is a type of parrot that lives in South America. It is the longest and largest flying parrot in the world, with a length of about one meter and a weight of up to 1.7 kg. It has bright blue feathers with yellow patches around its eyes and lower beak. It feeds on nuts, fruits, and seeds, and lives in semi-open habitats such as palm swamps and savannas. It is a social and intelligent bird that can form strong bonds with its mate and human caregivers. It is also an endangered species due to habitat loss and illegal trade.
