Description: The male northern pintail (Anas acuta) is a large and elegant duck with a long neck and tail. It has a chocolate brown head with a white stripe extending from the bill to the back of the neck, a white breast and belly, and a mostly gray body. It belongs to the family Anatidae, which includes ducks, geese, and swans. It is one of the most widespread and common ducks in the world and can be found in wetlands and fields across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Llano Seco is a large wetland complex in northern California, USA. It is part of the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Complex and provides a habitat for many migratory birds, fish, and wildlife.
