Description: MTAB IORE Søsterbekk is a pair of electric locomotives that operate on the Iron Ore Line in northern Sweden and Norway. They are owned by the Swedish mining company LKAB and operated by the Swedish train operator MTAB. The name IORE comes from Iron Ore, and Søsterbekk is a Norwegian word meaning sister stream. The locomotives are among the most powerful in the world, with a combined output of 10.8 MW and a maximum speed of 80 km/h. They can haul up to 68 ore cars with a total weight of 8,600 tonnes.
