Description: Oberaargletscher is a glacier in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland. It is located at the head of the Oberaar valley, a tributary of the Aare river. The glacier is about 7 km long and covers an area of about 14 km2. It is fed by several smaller glaciers, such as the Studer-, Lauteraar- and Finsteraargletscher. The glacier flows from an elevation of about 3600 m to 2300 m, where it ends in a glacial lake called Oberaarsee. The lake is dammed by a moraine and used for hydroelectric power generation.
