Description: Perisoreus canadensis mercier is a subspecies of the gray jay, a bird native to North America. It is found in the boreal forests of eastern Canada, from Quebec to Newfoundland and Labrador. It has a gray body, a white head and throat, and a black patch on the nape. It feeds on seeds, berries, insects, and carrion.
